  • Revised the General Education core into tiers.
  • Tier One includes Composition I and Composition II. The tier system requires completion of one before moving into the next.
  • Students take the English composition sequence in consecutive quarters or with a one quarter break.
Program Outcome: Demonstrating concepts in oral and written form using Standard English appropriate to the subject, audience, and purpose.
Assessment Activity: Exit Essays in Composition I and Composition II graded with a rubric

Course: Principles of Computer Application
  • Revised Computer Applications course
Program Outcome: Employing technologies appropriate to specific situations.

Baseline Core Competency Assessment
Course: Introduction to Integrative Studies
  • Developed a problem based learning scenario with 4 deliverables
  • Assessed student work ith a rubric corresponding to each of the 5 core competencies.
