What are the dates of the first offerings of these programs?
English workshop: january 13 thru february 7, 2014
Business immersion: february 17 thru june 6, 2014

What is the laureate cost/discount for these programs?
Experience america is exclusively for the laureate international universities network and is already priced at a discount.

How many meals are included?
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are available to students in our cafeteria and quick service restaurant monday thru friday. On weekends students are responsible for their meals. Many students cook in the dormitories, as each suite has a kitchen.

Is international health insurance included?
Short-term health insurance is included in the tuition. If students have their own insurance, they may sign a waiver, however, this does not change the total cost of tuition.

Do the students need a student visa?
English workshop: no, the students will attend this zero-credit program on a tourist visa.
Business immersion: yes, the students will be issued an I-20 and attend the program on an F-1 student visa.

What are the enrollment requirements for the business immersion?
Students must meet kendall’s enrollment requirements for the school of business, which may be referenced at, and includes an english minimum requirement of IELTS: 5.5 or TOEFL: 71.

How far from campus are accommodations? How will students travel to/from kendall?
Off-campus dormitories are located in downtown chicago surrounded by fashionable shopping, world class restaurants and exciting attractions, about 20 minutes from kendall via public transportation. Students will be issued a pass valid during their stay to use chicago’s public transit system.

What capacity is each dormitory room?
Kendall uses dormitory suites: each suite consists of a kitchen and living area, and up to four double-occupancy bedrooms and 2-3 bathrooms, for a total capacity of 6-8 students per suite.

How will students get from the airport upon their arrival?
Students will be greeted at the airport by a kendall representative and transported to the dormitories upon arrival in chicago.

What levels of english is the workshop suitable for? Will there be a placement test?
The english workshop is geared towards english levels 1-3; however, even students at level 4 will find value in the verbal and cultural aspects of the program. All students will take an online placement test prior to arrival in chicago, and will retake the same placement test at the end of the program to track their improvement.
