Chicago—March 27, 2012—Kendall College was ranked 13th on a list of the top 25 online Early Childhood Education Programs by SuperScholar Smart Choice. Publishing its first ranking of online Early Childhood Education degree programs, Smart Choice chose the top 25 colleges and universities it believes offer the best programs for prospective students in early childhood education, based on market reputation, academic quality, student satisfaction and cost.

Kendall College offers an Illinois State Board of Education-approved Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education in an Illinois certification track and non-certification track. The program prepares students to work with children from birth to 3rd grade and offers concentrations in Childhood Nutrition, English as a Second Langauge (ESL), Special Education or Infants and Toddlers. Unique to Kendall College, the program emphasizes leadership skills and relationship development, teaching students to form appropriate, inclusive relationships with students and their families.

“We are thrilled to be recognized on the list of the top 25 programs in online early education,” said Dr. Paul Busceni, Dean of the School of Education at Kendall College. “We strive to create a curriculum that prepares students to be exemplary learners, teachers, and leaders, and are honored to be acknowledged for this. We will continue to create the best program possible using our personal, passionate and professional approach to higher education.”

The SuperScholar Smart Choice ranking was designed as a tool to help prospective early childhood educators make a smart choice about where to invest their time and money in earning their degree. Only regionally accredited colleges and universities listed in the National Center for Education Statistics database and offering associate, bachelor’s, or master’s degree programs in Early Childhood Education were considered.
