The Dining Room Wine Dinner Series

175 Days to Love Chicago celebrates Chicago's 175th birthday with an exciting 175-day-series of programs, promotions, and fun history. Launching on the 175th anniversary of the city's incorporation on March 4 and continuing through August 26, 2012. The Dining Room Wine Dinner Series has been selected as a featured event for JUNE 7! 

We invite you to make your reservations for Thursday, June 7, 2012. Experience a four course wine dinner showcasing wines of Alsace. Each course features locally sourced cuisine paired with selected wines. The reception will begin at 6:00 p.m. with dinner following at 6:30 p.m.

  • Reception wine: Lucien Albrecht Brut Rose
  • 1st course: Asparagus salad, cured egg yolk, sylvetta, Midwestern cheese, ver jus dressing, 2010 Hugel Riesling, Alsace, France
  • 2nd course: Chilled rabbit galatine, apple mustard, claytonia, 2007 Trimbach Reserve Pinot Gris, Alsace, France
  • Entrée: Roast Lamb loin, lamb shank agnolotti, pickled onion, claytonia, 2009 Trimbach Pinot Noir, Alsace, France
  • Dessert: “Carrot and Parsnip” Carrot cake, parsnip and carrot mousse, apricot ginger sorbet, 2008 Dr. Loosen Eiswein Mosel, Germany
