CAPS & GOWNS

Graduates are responsible for ordering their regalia (cap & gown) to wear for the commencement ceremony. Ordering your regalia confirms your participation in the ceremony. Order at: collegegrad.herffjones.com

Deadline to order: Tuesday, May 6, 2014

*Students who do not order a cap and gown by the deadline will not be allowed to participate in the ceremony.

COMMENCEMENT RECEPTION

Light hors d'ouevers and beverages will be served before you celebrate the evening at dinner with friends and family.

Please include your intent to attend the reception by completing the Kendall 2014 Commencement Ticket and Reception Survey.

ANNOUNCEMENTS, INVITATIONS AND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT CARDS

Graduates may order graduation announcements and invitations directly through Herff Jones. Please visit collegegrad.herffjones.com

*Graduates are encouraged to order items early, additional fees apply for rush delivery.

DIPLOMA

Graduates will receive a diploma cover during the ceremony. Official diplomas will be distributed after Commencement from the Registrar Office to those students that have successfully completed all degree requirements. This process takes a few months. Official and unofficial transcripts are available prior to receipt of the diploma. The transcript request forms can be accessed on the Office of the Registrar's website.

ATTIRE AND ETIQUETTE 

Wearing the traditional academic cap & gown is required for the commencement ceremony.  

Underneath the gown, it is recommended that men wear a shirt with a collar, dark pants, and dark shoes.  Women may wear a blouse and skirt or pants, or dress, and dark shoes.  

GUESTS

Each guest must have a ticket for entry. Each graduate will receive five (5) tickets when they pick up their cap and gown. Guest seating begins at 9:15AM on the day of commencement.  Accessible seating is available.

TICKETS FOR COMMENCEMENT

The actual number of tickets available per graduate will depend upon the number of graduates participating in the ceremony. We expect to be able to provide up to five (5) tickets per graduate; please plan accordingly.

  • All guests of the ceremony must have a ticket for entry.
  • Tickets guarantee entry into the ceremony; Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Please be aware that Commencement tickets are College property and the sale and/or copying of Commencement tickets is strictly prohibited.

Ordering Tickets

Please go the Kendall 2014 Commencement Ticket and Reception Survey to indicate the desired number of tickets. Extra tickets above five (5) per graduate will be distributed on a first come first serve basis.

Ticket and Regalia Distribution

Regalia and tickets will be distributed at the following:

  • Ticket & Regalia Pick-Up, room 259 - Monday, June 16th - Wednesday, June 18th 8:00 AM-6:00 PM.
  • During Commencement Reception - Friday, June 20th 3:00-6:00 PM. Pick up is available in room 259.
  • Commencement - Saturday, June 21st, 7:30-9:30 AM. Pick-up available in the front lobby
