The Dining Room at Kendall College
The Dining Room at Kendall College is renowned for its exceptional food and attentive service. Open to the general public, The Dining Room at Kendall College is also an extraordinary "classroom" offering culinary and hospitality students the opportunity to gain real-world experience in a professional, fine-dining restaurant. 

Kendall students receive a 30% discount on their meal in The Dining Room at Kendall College. For reservations call 312-752-2328 or make your reservations online.  

Kendall Student Meal Plan

Full-Time Students
Participation in the Kendall College Student Meal plan is mandatory for full-time students. A $175/quarter fee is automatically assessed to full-time students except as noted below:

  • Students in the School of Culinary Arts programs are not assessed additional meal fees due to the inclusion of meals in regular tuition rates.
  • Students in the combined online/Saturday programs in Business and Hospitality Management must see the Cashier's Office if they wish to opt-in to the meal plan (meals are served Monday-Friday).
  • The meal plan is not mandatory for online Early Childhood Education students.

Part-Time Students
Participation in the Kendall College Student Meal plan is mandatory for part-time students. A $87.50/quarter fee is automatically assessed to part-time students except as noted below:

  • Students in the School of Culinary Arts programs are not assessed additional meal fees due to the inclusion of meals in regular tuition rates.
  • Students in the combined online/Saturday programs in Business and Hospitality Management must see the cashier's office if they wish to opt-in to the meal plan (meals are served Monday-Friday).
  • Students in the Early Childhood Education CYS cohort programs must see the Cashier's Office if they wish to opt-in to the meal plan.
  • The meal plan is not mandatory for online Early Childhood Education students.

Students on Internship will not be charged the meal plan fee. Students who are on internship and are interested in participating in the meal plan must see the Cashier's Office to opt-in to the plan for the internship quarter(s).

Café du Jour and Quick Service Restaurant
The Café Du Jour, Kendall's student-run cafeteria, is located on the third floor. The Café is a living student classroom providing breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a wide variety of menu choices that change daily. The cafeteria serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner (with a wide variety of menu choices that change daily) Monday through Friday, to all members of the Kendall community, as well as visitors and guests. The Café serving hours (subject to change) are as follows:

MONDAY - FRIDAY
Breakfast: 7:15am - 8:30am
Lunch: 11:30am - 1pm
Dinner: 5:30pm - 7:00pm

The serving hours for the Quick Service Restaurant are:

MONDAY - FRIDAY
Lunch: 11:30am - 12:30pm

There is no foodservice during college holidays and during the fall, winter, spring and summer breaks.  

The Daily Grind
The Daily Grind is located in the lobby and is open to all students, faculty and staff. The Daily Grind offers gourmet coffee options along with pastries fresh from the kitchens at Kendall. Service hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00am until 6:00pm (hours are subject to change).
