Application Process for International Students

Steps for International Admissions
1. Application for Admission

2. Personal Statement
An essay about you, your background and your future goals. Download here.
3. Evidence of English Proficiency
Kendall requires one of the following exams as proof of English proficiency:
> 60 or higher on TOEFL iBT
All subscores must meet minimum level of 15.
> 5.5 or higher on IELTS
Speaking and listening: 5.5 or higher
Reading and writing: 5.0 or higher
> 46 or higher on Pearson Test of English (PTE)
Applicants who do not meet the above requirements must meet the following requirements for provisional admission:
> 34-59 on TOEFL iBT
> 4.5 or higher on IELTS
> 30-45 on Pearson Test of English (PTE)
3. Official Documents
All Transcripts must be translated into English.
> Official Secondary/High School Transcripts with anticipated graduation date
> Any Mark Sheets or Ending Exam results
> Any previous College or University Official Transcripts
Official Transcripts must be delivered in one of two ways:
1. Mailed in a sealed envelope directly from the institution to Kendall’s Office of Admissions
2. Emailed directly from the institution to email@example.com.
4. Official Standardized Test Scores
Kendall College requires one of the following for admission:
> 18 or higher on ACT
> 1290 or higher on SAT
> 60 or higher on Kendall College Assessment Exam
5. Enrollment Deposit
An enrollment deposit is required at the time of acceptance of enrollment by all international students. The enrollment deposit is required to be paid before international students receive their visa documents.
> International Students Seeking Housing Deposit: $1,300
$1,000 is applied to tuition or fees depending upon program of study. Withdrawal of enrollment with less than four (4) weeks written notice before the commencement of the term will require that the student forfeits the full $1,000 enrollment deposit paid. $300 is a non-refundable housing fee.
> International Students Not Seeking Housing Deposit: $1,000
$1,000 is applied to tuition or fees depending upon program of study. Withdrawal of enrollment with less than four (4) weeks written notice before the commencement of the term will require that the student forfeits the full $1,000 enrollment deposit paid.

F-1 Visa Application Steps
Download your checklist here. Additional documents required to receive your I-20 to apply for your F-1 Student Visa include:
1. Copy of your passport identity page
Valid six months after entry in to U.S.
2. Provide proof that you or your sponsor has access to the minimum funds for your studies.
Business Program: $35,500 or higher
Hospitality Program: $40,500 or higher
Culinary Arts Program: $45,000 or higher
Completed Confidential Statement of Support.
If you are receiving funds from a sponsor, this form should be completed by both you and your sponsor indicating that you have access to the minimum funds for your studies and other expenses.
Acceptable forms of documentation below. These documents should be signed and stamped by a Bank Official.
1. Bank Balance Statement
2. Letter from Bank
If presently in the U.S. on a student visa, you must also provide the following documents:
> Copy of the current I-20
> Copy of the F-1 visa
> Copy of the I-94
> Permission to Transfer Form from the current school of enrollment
If presently in the U.S. on an exchange visitor visa, you must
also provide the following documents:
> Copy of the DS-2019 Form
> Copy of the J-1 visa
> Copy of the I-94
> Permission to Transfer form from the current school of enrollment
