International Student Scholarships, Awards and Reductions

INTERNATIONAL PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Four Presidential Scholarships, valued at 50% of the cost of tuition (valued up to $49,0161), will be awarded per year. Any first- time enrolled student who meets the academic entry requirements may apply for a scholarship. Applicants must submit three letters of recommendation from either a professional or academic source citing the student’s abilities to succeed in his or her chosen field, an essay demonstrating commitment to the field of study, CV, and official transcripts. Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 3.6 or above in the most recent academic level. If high school is the most recent academic level, an ACT score of 26 or above (or SAT equivalent) is required if applicable. A Skype interview is required. The scholarship is for the entire length of the student’s degree program as long as the student maintains continuous full-time enrollment with a minimum 3.0 GPA per term.

Deadline for application is eight weeks or 60 days prior to the student’s anticipated start term.

International Presidential Scholarship Application

INTERNATIONAL DEAN’S SCHOLARSHIP

The Dean’s Scholarship, valued at 35% of the cost of tuition (valued up to $34,3111), will be awarded per term for each for the Culinary Arts, Business and Hospitality programs. Any first-time enrolled student who meets the academic entry requirements may apply for an award. All applicants must submit two letters of recommendation from either a professional or academic source citing the student’s abilities to succeed in his or her chosen field, an essay demonstrating commitment to the field of study, CV, and official transcripts. Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or above in the most recent academic level. A Skype interview is required. The scholarship is for the entire length of the student’s degree program as long as the student maintains continuous full-time enrollment with a minimum 2.5 GPA per term.

Deadline for application is eight weeks or 60 days prior to the student’s anticipated start term.

International Dean’s Scholarship Application

INTERNATIONAL ACHIEVEMENT SCHOLARSHIP

The Achievement Scholarship is available to eligible international students who are first-time freshman with no previous college or university course work. The scholarship is valued at 25% of the cost of tuition (valued up to $24,5081). The student must have a minimum cumulative U.S. equivalency GPA of 2.75 or above in the most recent academic level. The scholarship is for the entire length of the student’s degree program as long as the student maintains continuous full-time enrollment and remains in good academic standing.

Deadline for application is four weeks or 28 days prior to the student’s intended start date.

TRANSFER AWARD

The Transfer Award, valued at 20% of the costs of tuition (valued up to $19,6061) for the Business, Culinary and Hospitality programs, is available to first-time enrolled international students who have earned at least 12 completed semester hours or 18 completed quarter hours from an accredited post-secondary institution (not including developmental courses). Students must transfer with a minimum cumulative U.S. equivalency GPA of 2.5 or above and must submit official transcripts for all post-secondary institutions attended. The award is for the entire length of the student’s degree program as long as the student maintains continuous enrollment and remains in good academic standing.

LAUREATE LIFELONG LEARNER AWARD

As part of the Laureate International Universities network, Kendall College welcomes graduates and their immediate family members† from our fellow institutions who want to earn their next degree. This award is valued at 15% of the cost of tuition**. This award is also valid for immediate family members of current Kendall College students. Proof of graduation from a network institution or current enrollment at Kendall is required (transcript or confirmation of graduation status through the Office of the Registrar) and this attestation form. The student or immediate family member must be a graduate of these Laureate schools: Kendall College, Walden University, NewSchool of Architecture & Design, Santa Fe University, or University of St. Augustine. The award is for the entire length of the program as long as the students maintains good academic standing.

INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE (IB) DIPLOMA AWARD

The IB Diploma Award is valued at $400/quarter for Culinary and Hospitality degree-seeking students and $300/quarter for Business degree-seeking students. Applicants must have successfully obtained an IB Diploma with a score of 30 or above. This award is for the entire length of the program as long as the student maintains continuous full-time enrollment and remains in good academic standing.

ENGLISH PATHWAY SCHOLARSHIP

The English Pathways Award is available to participants of the Laureate English Program (LEP) at Kendall College who subsequently elect to pursue a degree at Kendall College. The award is valued at $1,500 for students who attend one quarter of LEP, $3,000 for students who attend two quarters of LEP, and $5,000 for students who attend three or more quarters of LEP. The award is split evenly and applied to tuition charges over the student’s first three terms.

KENDALL COLLEGE TRUST SCHOLARSHIPS

The Kendall College Trust is dedicated to providing financial support for students of need enrolled in career programs at Kendall College. Scholarships are available for students in career programs who have completed their first year of study. For more information please visit kendallfoundation.org.
