Culinary Arts Student Wins National Cherry Recipe Contest

Paige Adams, a student in the Kendall College School of Culinary Arts professional cookery certificate program, was recently named the first place winner in the “Powered by Red Recipe Contest” – sponsored by the Cherry Marketing Institute – for her recipe for Cherry and Lamb Tagine.

Paige’s recipe topped hundreds of other entries from around the country to win the student category of CMI’s very first recipe contest. Criteria for the competition included creating an original and flavorful dish that utilized tart cherries (dried, juice or frozen) as a main ingredient. The Michigan-based Cherry Marketing Institute is an organization that presents North American tart cherry growers and processors.

As a grand prize winner, Paige will receive a cash prize, professional cookware and the honor of having her recipe be featured on See her winning recipe here.
