Explore a world of international flavors! The Center for the Advancement of Foodservice Education (CAFÉ) will host “Global Cuisines,” a three day interactive workshop for culinary educators and food service personnel, at Kendall College, July 24-26, 2009.
The workshop will feature lectures, demonstrations and hands-on opportunities in Kendall’s kitchens as attendees learn about and practice cooking methods using ingredients from Asia, Latin America and Europe. Kendall College—the leader in environmental sustainability for culinary programs everywhere—also will present an update on how other culinary-training programs and food service operations can continue their progression in this important movement.
The workshop begins on Friday afternoon, July 24, with exercises in flavor pairings, followed by a welcome reception. Attendees are in class all day Saturday and Sunday. The host hotel is the Seneca in the midst of the Magnificent Mile. For more information, or to register for the workshop, call CAFÉ at (410) 268-5542.
