Michelle Coussens, Dean of the Kendall College School of Business, appointed Kendall’s first junior advisory board to enhance the school’s services to students and the greater business community, while providing a leadership venue for junior business professionals in the Chicagoland area.
“We appointed members who are very passionate about creating a sustainable program that helps enable students to give back to businesses on day one of employment,” said Dean Coussens. “This distinguished group of individuals truly thrives on assisting Kendall with equipping students with the skills and business savvy needed to excel in today’s global workforce.”
The Junior Advisory Board currently consists of 14 members, each with 5 – 10 years of business experience, who will provide business students with unique mentoring opportunities including mock interviews, job shadowing, networking introductions and informative industry and job overviews. The board held its kick-off meeting on March 2, 2009 and a second meeting on June 1, 2009.
