FCCLA Student Preparation Teacher Training Resources

FCCLAlogo185FCCLA promotes personal growth and leadership development through Family and Consumer Sciences education. Focusing on the multiple roles of family member, wage earner and community leader, members develop skills for life through: character development, creative and critical thinking, interpersonal communication, practical knowledge and career preparation.

Teachers like you can provide the foundation and help your students build the confidence they need to compete and explore where their passions will soon lead them to their future careers. The resources below are complimentary and will help you better prepare your students to participate in FCCLA activities and competitions throughout the school year.

Upon completion of watching these modules, The Illinois State Board of Education will provide Continuing Professional Development Units* and FCCLA and Kendall College will award a certificate of completion. You will also receive a sample lesson plan to use in your own classroom.

*Your area might reciprocate these continuing education credits; contact the state board of education for more information.
