Studying in our spacious commercial-grade facilities, you will have ample counter space to learn the science behind baking and begin developing your creative design capabilities. While earning your Baking and Pastry degree you will work at your own 1.83-meter acounter outfitted with all the necessary equipment to delve into the nitty-gritty of baking on day one. Our kitchens boast large, industrial-scale equipment so you can understand mass production in addition to hands-on design.
As a baking and pastry student you will become well versed in the realms of food safety, cost control, and kitchen discipline. We equip our graduates with real-world skills so they can own and manage their own business as a baker or pastry designer. Through a blend of kitchen time and classroom instruction you can gain the necessary skills and confidence to succeed. You will also gain a depth and breadth of knowledge through our General Education courses, helping provide you with a competitive edge in the job market and the interdisciplinary skill set that’s necessary for future leaders.
If you already have an A.A.S. in Baking and Pastry and want to complete your Bachelor of Arts in Culinary Arts, Business or Hospitality Management, we have a program just for you. After completing your associates degree you may continue on to earn your bachelor’s degree from Kendall in as few as two years, through our degree completion pathways in Business, Culinary Arts or Hospitality Management.* Learn more.
