In our increasingly global world, international business courses are essential to operating a successful franchise or foodservice business in a competitive market. Our international business program takes theoretical knowledge to another level by requiring Business Program students who choose this concentration to spend a minimum of two quarters abroad.
By enrolling in our partner international business programs through the Laureate International Universities network, students can appreciate the intricacies of global business firsthand in Brazil, Turkey, Spain, France or Germany. Students may even petition to enroll in a program outside of our network if they find an international business program that piques their interest.
Sample courses include:
Exploring International Business
Through exploration of various approaches and strategies, this course is designed to build skills needed to effectively lead organizations in today’s highly complex and globally competitive world. Students learn the secret to inspiring culturally diverse and often virtual workforces.
In this course students identify corporate sustainability and social responsibility initiatives and assess their effectiveness from the cultural, social, environmental and financial perspectives of a variety of diverse stakeholders. The fundamentals of running a responsible, eco-friendly company are emphasized.
This course details how business development can link marketing with the supply chain and provide a pipeline to sales. Students focus on the proven processes that nurture and grow profitable new businesses.
Study Abroad (16 credits)
For two quarters students study international business in one of many pre-approved business programs around the globe. Any student wishing to study abroad in a program that is not currently a partner program can petition the Program Director for approval.
