Since 1934, Kendall College has offered engaging, specialized fields of study with a strong emphasis on “immersive” learning that is geared to your academic, personal, and professional success.

Whether you choose Kendall’s acclaimed School of Culinary Arts, world-renowned Les Roches School of Hospitality Management, innovative School of Business, or well-established School of Education, you are encouraged to explore your talents, interests, and passions—and to discover a wealth of exciting opportunities—using the world-class city of Chicago as your laboratory.

Formerly located in the residential Chicago suburb of Evanston, Illinois, Kendall College opened its stunningly renovated, $50 million state-of-the-art Riverworks Campus in January 2004. The Riverworks Campus is located on Chicago’s Goose Island in a stately 100-year-old building that was most recently used by Sara Lee Corporation as a worldwide research facility. Sara Lee renovated the building in 1999, restoring the site’s original eight-story tower to create 166,000 square feet of new, adaptable space, as well as a new three-story companion building.

In past decades, this historic building on the Chicago River served as a tannery, warehouse, scrap metal storage facility, and even a World War II bomb shelter. Sara Lee’s renovations, which included huge windows, exposed brick walls, soaring ceilings, multiple kitchens, pilot plant, consumer sensory lab, product presentation room, and research laboratory , made the building an ideal home for Kendall College. After purchasing the building in 2003, Kendall immediately began adapting the site for its use installing wireless classrooms, mobile workspaces, audio-video capabilities, and state-of-the-art equipment.

Committed to academic excellence, Kendall College is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Kendall has maintained its accredited status since 1962.
