Our School of Education shares your passion for enriching the lives of students through teaching excellence, and we understand your drive and desire to meet the academic needs of all your students. We’re committed to helping you earn credentials that will help advance your career in education.
Kendall College is ranked among the top 25 online Early Childhood Education programs, thanks to our flexible online format, along with an offering of select evening courses on campus. We also have affordable tuition and offer many financial assistance opportunities. In addition, we help maximize the number of credits that can be transferred into the bachelor’s program to help you achieve your goal. The Early Childhood Education Bachelor degree options are adapted for adults who juggle full-time jobs and even fuller lives. We don’t ask that you put your goals on hold- you can begin our program at any stage of your college education.
Our curriculum covers research-based practices that are aligned with the standards set by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE), the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), and the Interstate New Teacher Assessment and Consortium (INTASC) to make sure that you’re well-versed in a variety of standards.
Fieldwork is a critical part of the program and helps our students strengthen their skills and forge a valuable network of connections that is so important for a job search. Recent graduates secured a variety of positions, such as Case Manager, Child Development Specialist and Day Care Director/Teacher, and work at respected institutions such as the British School of Chicago, Chicago Public Schools, suburban private school districts and more.
