Chicago Symphony Center – Orchestra Hall
220 S. Michigan Avenue, Chicago, IL
10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Graduates should meet at Chicago Symphony Center and report to the Buntrock Ballroom by 9:15 a.m. to line-up for the processional.
Graduates are responsible for ordering their regalia (cap & gown) to wear for the commencement ceremony. Ordering your regalia confirms your participation in the ceremony. Students do not pay anything for regalia on this site as this is included in the graduation fee. (Click on Cap and Gown in green at the top after entering School name and you will see Graduation Regalia) Announcements and diploma frames are available on the site at an additional charge.
*The last day to order your Graduation Package products online is Sunday, May 1, 2016. Students who do not order a cap and gown by the deadline will not be allowed to participate in the ceremony.
Graduates will receive a diploma cover during the ceremony. Official diplomas will be distributed after Commencement from the Office of the Registrar to those students that have successfully completed all degree requirements. This process can take up to a few months.
Wearing the traditional academic cap & gown is required for the commencement ceremony. Underneath the gown, it is recommended that men wear a shirt with a collar, dark pants, and dark shoes. Women may wear a blouse and skirt or pants, or dress, and dark shoes.
Each guest must have a ticket for entry. The actual number of tickets available per graduate will depend upon the number of graduates participating in the ceremony. We expect to be able to provide up to five (5) tickets per graduate; please plan accordingly.
– All guests of the ceremony must have a ticket for entry.
– Tickets guarantee entry into the ceremony; Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.
– Please be aware that Commencement tickets are College property and the sale and/or copying of Commencement tickets is strictly prohibited.
Tickets can be requested here through May 1. By May 9, students who requested additional tickets (beyond the five per graduate) will be notified if the request can be accommodated. Requests made after May 1 will need to be sent to email@example.com.
