Commencement Information

Kendall College Commencement will be held on Friday, June 22, 2018 at 1:00 pm at the Chicago Symphony Center. More details will be announced soon.


Caps & Gowns


Graduates are responsible for ordering their regalia (cap & gown) to wear for the commencement ceremony. Ordering your regalia confirms your participation in the ceremony. Students do not pay anything for regalia on this site as this is included in the graduation fee. (Click on Cap and Gown in green at the top after entering School name and you will see Graduation Regalia) Announcements and diploma frames are available on the site at an additional charge.

*The last day to order your Graduation Package products online will be announced soon. Students who do not order a cap and gown by a yet to be determined date will not be allowed to participate in the ceremony.


Graduates will receive a diploma cover during the ceremony. Official diplomas will be distributed after Commencement from the Office of the Registrar to those students that have successfully completed all degree requirements. This process can take up to a few months.

Attire and Etiquette

Wearing the traditional academic cap & gown is required for the commencement ceremony.  Underneath the gown, it is recommended that men wear a shirt with a collar, dark pants, and dark shoes. Women may wear a blouse and skirt or pants, or dress, and dark shoes.

Each guest must have a ticket for entry. The actual number of tickets available per graduate will depend upon the number of graduates participating in the ceremony. Participants are allotted 5 tickets but may be able to receive up to twelve (12) tickets. Please plan accordingly.

– All guests of the ceremony must have a ticket for entry.
– Tickets guarantee entry into the ceremony; seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.
– Please be aware that commencement tickets are college property and the sale and/or copying of commencement tickets is strictly prohibited.

More details will be posted in 2018 regarding tickets.


Ticket and Regalia Distribution

Regalia and tickets will be distributed the week before the ceremony. Dates and times are TBD.

PLEASE NOTE: All students interested in participating in 2018 Commencement must have completed all degree requirements by Summer 2018 as outlined in the Academic Catalog. If you have any questions please reference the catalog or speak with your academic advisor.
