Laureate International Institutions: Learn and Stay…Your Way!

Provide your students with a learning experience outside the classroom in the world-class city of Chicago. Plan your next field study or class residency in the U.S. and let Kendall College, Laureate’s Chicago-based Center of Excellence, help you create a memorable experience. Enjoy all the amenities and services of Kendall College while a member of your institution’s faculty leads the learning experience.

Services for Laureate International Institutions include:

Classroom space at Kendall College’s downtown campus (available weekly, 4 weeks maximum) Local trip planning services including:

  • Lodging: Accommodations in downtown Chicago
  • Transportation: Airport transfers and public transportation access
  • Meals: Three on-campus meals daily when culinary arts classes are in session
  • Off-Campus educational, cultural and social activities (additional costs may apply)
  • Access to Kendall College facilities including gym, library, IT Lab
  • Inclusion in Kendall student activities
  • Designated Kendall liaison to provide assistance during your visit

Optional services:

  • Culinary Team Building Activities: Options include cooking competitions and demonstrations
  • Recreational English language Instruction: Led by Kendall’s English Language Institute faculty. Note: Alternate visa application may apply

Please note that this is not a Kendall program and neither students nor faculty will be receiving credit from or be hosted by Kendall College. Kendall College will simply be managing the on-site logistics of your school’s faculty-led program.

Additional Information

  • Visas: In most cases, visiting students and faculty will be able to visit the United States on a B-1/B-2 visa. A special invitation letter will be provided to the LIU Institution to accompany the student and faculty visa applications. Depending on learning objective of the trip, a different visa may be required (e.g. student experiences involving the English Language Institute).
  • Experience and credits: Visiting faculty and students will be coming to the United States for a cultural immersion experience as part of their studies. Neither students nor faculty will be receiving credit from or be hosted by Kendall College.

    • Kendall College: Assign Liaison
    • Kendall College: Issue pre-arrival checklist and timeline
    • Institution: Submit student forms
    • Institution: Complete pre-trip survey
    • Institution: Complete post-trip survey
