The Siebel Institute of Technology offers courses in brewing, beer styles, distilling and other areas of fermented beverage technology. Established in 1872, the Siebel Institute and its World Brewing Academy affiliate conduct courses and programs at locations in Chicago, Munich, San Diego, and Montreal.
The Siebel Institute partnered with Kendall in 2013 and moved their campus to the first floor of Kendall College’s building. It houses Siebel’s corporate offices, a teaching hall, brewery and a space where students can learn the art of managing a beverage business.
Students pursuing the beverage management concentration will have the opportunity to take optional courses including “Industry Stages” and an “Excursion and Immersion” course, which includes an eight-day trip prior to the students’ senior year to an internationally renowned wine growing region to understand the wine, culture and techniques, such as France, Germany, Switzerland, Chile or Australia.
